2017 Spring 10K training program

Training program geared toward the 2017 Capitol Hill Classic 10K.

Targeting the Capitol Hill Classic 10K ‪on May 21st, the Spring 10K Program ‪begins on Saturday, March 18th at 9:00 a.m. out of Summit to Soul located at 727 8th Street SE, Washington DC (just 3 blocks from the Eastern Market Metro)‪. Runners of all abilities are welcome. The program is free to all Club members, but you must be a member of DC Road Runners to participate.  We also ask that you volunteer at least once for DCRR in one of our many volunteer roles.  To register as a club member click here, but also feel free to sign up after the first day. In addition, the program offers a running schedule for members’ independent runs during the week. Runners will also receive a weekly email with the running schedule and training tips. Runners must register for the 10K program in order to receive the weekly emails and training schedule.

Runners should be prepared to run 2.0 miles at the first meeting and the 10K Training Program will not have a walking pace group.

Please note that the cost of the Capitol Hill Classic 10K race is NOT INCLUDED in the DCRR club membership; runners must register for the race separately. There will be no refunds for the club membership.

NOTE: Registering for the Capitol Hill Classic 10K race is not required to participate in the 10K Training Program.
