Upcoming Needs:

Volunteer for the 2015 Rock 'n' Roll Marathon

Saturday, March 14, 2015 - Washington, DC

The DC Road Runners will be supporting Water Stop #2 of the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on March 14th, and we need LOTS (and lots) of club members to help out! Because we have such an early stop, we will be finished not too long after the race start (meaning no waiting until everyone passes mile 22 like in previous years)!

The water stop is located at the intersection of Rock Creek and Potomac Pkwy NW just North of Lincoln Memorial Circle. Also, the club has a number of runners that are participating in the race, meaning you have an even better reason to come out to cheer them on! Volunteering at the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon also counts for snowball series credit!

If you don't want to miss out on music, good karma, costumed runners, camaraderie, and a free volunteer shirt please register to volunteer here (the sign-up page should auto-populte with the DC Road Runners group for you to join), and e-mail Alison Smith with any questions.

Volunteers for 2015 Fort Hunt 10K

Sunday, March 8, 2015 - Alexandria, VA

The club needs volunteers for the Fort Hunt 10K. This race features 5 laps around Fort Hunt Park, so volunteering gives you plenty of opportunities to cheer for your friends or family members that are running. Volunteering also counts for Snowball Series credit.

If you'd like to volunteer, please contact Ed

Volunteers for 2015 Burke Lake 12K

Sunday, March 1, 2015 - Fairfax, VA

The club needs lots of volunteers for the Burke Lake 12K for assisting with race day registration, course marshalling, and aid stations. Come out and volunteer with us if you have friends or family members running or you want to hang out with fellow members while helping out the club! Volunteering during the race fulfills the Snowball Series requirement.

Constant Needs:

We are always looking for Saturday Long Run refreshment volunteers. If you plan to attend SLR for at least 2 consecutive weeks, and haven't volunteered in a while (or at all), please consider helping to support the group (and yourself)! This is a fairly easy job, all you have to do is bring gatorade, water, and cups to SLR on Saturday morning, and the club will reimburse the expenses (think of all the rewards points you can get!)  Please (read: please, please, pretty please) check the SLR Page for dates needed, and e-mail slr@dcroadrunners.org if you are able to help out!
