Upcoming Needs:

Tuckahoe 5k
November 12th, 2011

For the third annual Tuckahoe 5k we need 1-2 volunteers to help with start/finish area setup. This would be a great place for people who plan to become race directors in the future to learn how to use the Chronotrack Timing system as well as finish line procedures.

Email Brian Danza at Brian@dcroadruners.org for more information or visit www.tuckahoe5k.com for race details.

Vienna Turkey Trot
November 13th, 2011

Like the Tuckahoe 5K, this would be a great place for people who plan to become race directors in the future to learn how to use the Chronotrack Timing system as well as finish line procedures.

Email Brian Danza at Brian@dcroadruners.org for more information or visit www.viennaturkeytrot.com for race details.

Alexandria Turkey Trot
November 24th, 2011

This is DC Road Runners' largest annual race and we are expecting well over 4200 participants this year.

As usual, we are going to need many volunteers volunteers to handle packet pickup, race logistics, race-day registration, and, most importantly, data entry.

If you are interested please register at www.Alexandriaturkeytrot.com/volunteer or email Brian Danza at Brian@dcroadrunners.org for more information.

Snowball Series!

The DCRRC 2011-2012 Snowball Series kicks off December 4, 2011, with the DCRRC Bread Run 10K.  The race takes place in Glen Echo, MD.  To volunteer, contact Delabian Thurston at Delabian@aol.com.

The second race in the series is the Gar Williams 1/2 marathon on December 11, 2011.  The race takes place in Carderock, MD.  To volunteer, contact Brian Danza at brian@dcroadrunners.org.

Please note, to receive a (COVETED!) Snowball Series age group award an individual must volunteer for the club in some capacity between November 2011 and April 2012.  The volunteer opportunities on this page are your big chance!

Constant Needs:

We are always looking for Saturday Long Run refreshment volunteers. This is a fairly easy job, all you have to do is bring Gatorade, water, and cups to SLR on Saturday mornings (the club will reimburse expenses). Please check the SLR Page for dates needed, and email slr@dcroadrunners.rorg if you would like to help.
