Volunteers for the 2015 Al Lewis 10 Miler

Saturday, January 10, 2015 - Kensington, MD

The club needs volunteers to help put on the Al Lewis 10 Miler in Kensington, Maryland. Volunteering during the race fulfills the Snowball Series requirement!

Want to volunteer? Contact Jay Wind if you are available to help out before or during the race.

Volunteers for the 2015 JFK 20K & MLK 5K

Saturday, January 17, 2015 - Carderock, MD

The 2014 John F. Kennedy 20K and Martin Luther King 5K races will start and finish in Carderock and will be out and back on the C&O Canal Towpath. This is the perfect opportunity to volunteer if you want to honor two of our nation's leaders, but don't want to run the races, or if you just want to hang out with all your favority DCRR members! Also, volunteering during the races will count for Snowball Series credit!

Want to volunteer? Please contact Bethany Britz if you're able to help out before or during the races.

Volunteers for the 54th Annual GW Birthday Marathon!

Sunday, February 15, 2015 - Greenbelt, MD

DC Road Runners will be hosting the 54th Annual George Washington's Birthday Marathon and Marathon Relay on Sunday, February 15, 2014 in Greenbelt, MD. This race is a Boston qualifier with a local, small crowd feel.

The club needs lots of volunteers to put on this event on  race day, including course marshals, aid station personnel, food service at the post-race party, packet pick-up, course clean-up, as well as course set-up and packet pick-up on Saturday.

All volunteers will receive an AWESOME long sleeve volunteer tech shirt and plenty of free food throughout the day! Note: for people running the 2014-15 DCRRC Snowball Series races, volunteering at the George Washington Birthday Marathon fulfills your volunteer requirement.

Constant Needs:

We are always looking for Saturday Long Run refreshment volunteers. If you plan to attend SLR for at least 2 consecutive weeks, and haven't volunteered in a while (or at all), please consider helping to support the group (and yourself)! This is a fairly easy job, all you have to do is bring gatorade, water, and cups to SLR on Saturday morning, and the club will reimburse the expenses (think of all the rewards points you can get!)  Please (read: please, please, pretty please) check the SLR Page for dates needed, and e-mail slr@dcroadrunners.org if you are able to help out!
