Volunteers for the 54th Annual GW Birthday Marathon!

Sunday, February 15, 2015 - Greenbelt, MD

DC Road Runners will be hosting the 54th Annual George Washington's Birthday Marathon and Marathon Relay on Sunday, February 15, 2014 in Greenbelt, MD. This race is a Boston qualifier with a local, small crowd feel.

The club needs lots of volunteers to put on this event on  race day, including course marshals, aid station personnel, food service at the post-race party, packet pick-up, course clean-up, as well as course set-up and packet pick-up on Saturday.

All volunteers will receive an AWESOME long sleeve volunteer tech shirt and plenty of free food throughout the day! Note: for people running the 2014-15 DCRRC Snowball Series races, volunteering at the George Washington Birthday Marathon fulfills your volunteer requirement.

Volunteers for 2015 Langley 8k

Saturday, February 7, 2014 - Mclean, VA

The Langley 8K is an out-and back route with several twists and turns, so the club needs lots of volunteers to help keep everyone on course (seriously, the more volunteers, the less chance participants end up accidentally running a 10k..) We also need volunteers to help with race day registration and check-in. This race boasts a 10 am start (yay, sleeping in!) and lots of parking! Also, volunteering during the race fulfills the Snowball Series requirement.

Want to volunteer? Contact James Scarborough if you're available to help out before or during the race.

Volunteers for 2015 Burke Lake 12K

Sunday, March 1, 2015 - Fairfax, VA

The club needs lots of volunteers for the Burke Lake 12K for assisting with race day registration, course marshalling, and aid stations. Come out and volunteer with us if you have friends or family members running or you want to hang out with fellow members while helping out the club! Volunteering during the race fulfills the Snowball Series requirement.

Want to volunteer? Please contact George

Volunteers for 2015 Fort Hunt 10K

Sunday, March 8, 2015 - Alexandria, VA

The club needs volunteers for the Fort Hunt 10K. This race features 5 laps around Fort Hunt Park, so volunteering gives you plenty of opportunities to cheer for your friends or family members that are running. Volunteering also counts for Snowball Series credit.

If you'd like to volunteer, please contact Ed

Constant Needs:

We are always looking for Saturday Long Run refreshment volunteers. If you plan to attend SLR for at least 2 consecutive weeks, and haven't volunteered in a while (or at all), please consider helping to support the group (and yourself)! This is a fairly easy job, all you have to do is bring gatorade, water, and cups to SLR on Saturday morning, and the club will reimburse the expenses (think of all the rewards points you can get!)  Please (read: please, please, pretty please) check the SLR Page for dates needed, and e-mail slr@dcroadrunners.org if you are able to help out!
