SLR April 8 - GWK Shady

Hello Saturday Runners!

This week's route is GWK Shady (additional map here), a 10.5 mile loop which can easily be extended a couple ways. To add about 3 miles, continue on down the river to Memorial Bridge before heading back, or to add 7 miles, do another full loop of the trails. This route has a lot of distance on trails, but tomorrow's weather is supposed to be much drier, so hopefully things won't be too messy by Saturday morning.

Thank you Irene Thomas for post-run drinks this week! Volunteer needs along with the weekly route & distance schedule are always kept up-to-date on the SLR web page, and you can email me any time to schedule your slot. Post-run volunteers are typically scheduled for at least 2 consecutive weeks to cut down on handoffs of the bins, and because it's a relatively easy job. Post-run drinks are entirely volunteer supported, so if you regularly enjoy this SLR perk, do your part to keep it going! Volunteering is easy, doesn't take a lot of time, and all restocking expenses will be reimbursed by the club.

Happy running!

Mike
