2025 Glebe Elementary 5K & Fun Run

The annual Glebe Elementary School 5K and Fun Run is back and better than ever!
Organized by the Glebe Elementary PTA, runners of all levels of experience are welcome.

NEW for 2025! The 5K (3.1 mile) course has been lengthened to be a true 5K after a few years of a short course. 
The course is supported by DC Road Runners, and runners will receive a chip-timed bib.

The mile-long Fun Run course is perfect for anyone with young children, walkers, new to running, or simply wanting to run a shorter distance.

In accordance with DC Road Runner safety requirements, we do NOT allow strollers or dogs on either course.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race mission:
 
The 5K & Fun Run benefits Glebe Elementary School’s PTA, supporting teacher grants, school events and scholarships.  It also aims to bring our community together and instill lifelong, healthy habits.
 
Route:
 
This out and back course begins and ends in Woodlawn Park.  There is one water stop at Westover Park.
 
Entry Fees:
 
  • 5K Race: $30
  • 1 Mile Fun Run: $25
  • Virtual Runner $25
  • NEW! 5k No Shirt Option $15
  • NEW! 1 Mile Fun Run No Shirt Option $10
 
The race will be capped at 250 runners, so sign up soon!  *Tech t-shirts only guaranteed if registered by Tuesday, April 1.
 
 
Packet Pickup:
 
There will be multiple opportunities in AM & PM for packet pickup prior to May 3rd.  Details will be available soon.
 
Event Parking:
 
Limited street parking available. Please walk to Woodlawn Park if possible.
 
Awards:
 
Trophies to first place overall (M/F), and for the top finisher (M/F) for age groups: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-18
 
All participants receive medals and tech t-shirts*
