DC Road Runners Annual Banquet & Membership Meeting

Calling all members ... This is a DC Road Runners Club signature event and is family friendly. Again it will be at Maggianos in Friendship Heights and is on Sunday March 4 starting at 6PM. The evening features our annual club awards, elections of a new board of directors, state-of-the-club presentation and a great guest speaker, Mike Wardian who will share his story of 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 different continents.  You don't want to miss hearing Mike tell this story!

So come on out. Get caught up on all the club is doing, have some fun with your fellow runners while they are all dressed up and of course, VOTE!  We will present our annual awards for most outstanding and improved athletes, we will also recognize our top coach and volunteer.  Additionally this year, we will have two DC Road Runners Club Hall of Fame inductions.

You must register in advance.  Don't wait, space is limited.  Here is the link to register:

I look forward to seeing many of you there.

President, DC Road Runners Club

Call For New DCRRC Board Members 2018

It is once again that time of year to elect a new board of directors.  These are the people who work hard for you, our club members, all year long to provide great running opportunities; races, training, happy hours, etc.  They also provide great service to organizations in need of our support and to our surrounding communities.  The current board's term ends on April 30.  A new board will begin it's term on May 1.  A membership vote for the new board will take place at our annual banquet on Sunday night March 4. The following board positions are open for 2018:

- Director of IT/Webmaster

- Director of Race Operations

- VP of Races

- Volunteer Coordinator

If you are interested in serving the club to maintain and grow our great running program for our members and serving our communities, or would like more information regarding these positions, please contact our nominating committee lead, Deborah.

The Club Challenge 10M is a great event open only to Maryland and DC RRCA clubs as a team challenge race.  The Howard County Striders do a great job hosting.  Our club usually brings 125 runners to the event and we have one of the largest representations amongst all the clubs.  We will again rent a bus leaving from Courthouse in Arlington and Dupont Circle in DC.  All DCRRC Members should register at the link below. The race is free to members but reminder that the club will pay your $10 race entry fee to the Howard County Striders.

You must be a currently registered member of the DC Road Runners Club to register and participate in this race

If you do not have a current DCRRC membership then your registration will be canceled and you will not receive a bib on race day.
