By registering for this event, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By participating in and/or attending the event, including any pre- or post-event activities, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold the DC Road Runners Club, the jurisdiction in which the event is held (District of Columbia, Prince George's County Maryland, Montgomery County Maryland, Arlington Virginia and/or Alexandria Virginia), the US National Park Service, the US Park Police, or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any COVID-related death, illness or injury.

The following waiver is required for our liability insurance coverage. By clicking the continue button you acknowledge and agree to the following:

 

I know that volunteering to work in club races are potentially hazardous activities. I should volunteer in club activities unless I am medically able. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete my assigned duties.

I assume all risks associated with volunteering to work in club races including, but not limited to, falls, contact with participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

 

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my volunteer registration, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Road Runners Club of America, the DC Road Runners Club, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in these club activities even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
