SLR February 8 - Anacostia Riverwalk Loop

Hi Saturday Runners!

This week we will have a bit of relief from the hills on the 18 mile Anacostia Riverwalk Loop (downloads: cue sheet and GPS). If you'd like to run less than 18 miles, you can cut about 0.75 mile by skipping the loop of Heritage Island (and if it rains Friday, it may be a good idea to skip it due to mud). You cut more mileage by crossing the river earlier at E Capitol St. Crossing (for about 16.5 total) or cut even earlier at Pennsylvania Ave (for about 13.5 total).

Thanks again to Charlotte and Mark for post-run drinks! We will need more volunteers 3/28 and 4/4. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up to date on the SLR web page, and you can email me at megan@dcroadrunners.org any time to sign up. For general information on how volunteering works see the SLR FAQ or send me an email with any specific questions.

Feb 15 &16: Please consider volunteering for George Washington’s Birthday Marathon because we need 100+ volunteers for this event! https://gwbm.dcroadrunners.org/volunteer/.

Good luck to those of you doing the Langley 8K this weekend!

See you soon!

Megan
