Next Race: Steve Thompson 8K

Please join us for our next, actually last Bunion Derby Race, the Steve Thompson 8K at Lake Accotink Park on Sunday, September 14th at 9:00 AM. The race starts and finishes at the top of the dam near the railroad trestle.Click here for complete information and online registration. Founders Half Marathon

Registration is now open for the Founders Half Marathon on December 14th. It will be the second race of the 2025-26 (!) Snowball Series. (We'll have registration open soon for the first race, The Bread Run, on December 7th.)

Join us for the 2025 Bunion Derby Series summer race schedule. By popular demand, we're now offering awards 3 deep in age groups.

2025 Bunion Derby Series Rules.

Race Schedule and Registrations:

  1. Women's Distance Festival and Run After The Women: June 8th @ Bluemont Park. Please sign-up to volunteer if you are not running.
  2. Fletcher Cove 4-Miler(Formerly Rock Creek Park 5K): June 22nd @ Fletcher's Boathouse. Please sign-up to volunteer if you are not running.
  3. Age-Graded 4 Miler: July 4th @ Carderock. Please sign-up here to volunteer or to run!
  4. Bastille Day 5K: Sunday, August 31st @ Belle Haven at 7:30AM. Please register HERE
  5. Bluemont 5K: Wednesday, August 13th @ Bluemont Park at 7PM. Please register HERE
  6. Cross Country 3-Miler and Club Picnic: Saturday, August 23rd @ Nottoway Park at 5PM. Please register HERE
