Snowball Awards 4/28; Red Raider 5K 4/26 @ 8AM

1. Snowball Series Awards and Marathon Training Program Recognition Night: Pleas join us Monday, April 28, 2008, at 7:00 pm at the Cactus Cantina, 3300 Wisconsin Ave NW in DC, 20016, for the presentation of the Snowball Series age-group awards, and to recognize the coaches and participants in the Reebok Official Training Program for the SunTrust National Marathon.

This is always a fun, informal event. Please check the link to the left on this page for a list of the 2007-2008 Snowbal Series winners. Awards are three deep in each age group.

2. NEXT CLUB RACE: RED RAIDER RUN, SATURDAY APRIL 26, 8:00 am, AT JEB STUART HIGH SCHOOL: Race into Spring at our next Club-affiliated race, April 26, at JEB Stuart HS in Falls Church. 3. Track Workouts on Trail 4/23 & 4/30: Track Workouts through the end of April will be conducted on the Custis and W&OD Trails. Please see track workouts page for workout information. We will be back on the track in May!

WE JUST RECEIVED WORD THAT REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE RRCA COACHING CERTIFICATION CLASS ON OCTOBER 24-25, 2008.

CLUB MEMBERS WHO WISH TO REGISTER SHOULD DO SO IMMEDIATELY! GO TO www.rrca.org CLICK ON "COACHES" AT TOP OF THE HOME PAGE, THEN CLICK ON "COACHING CERTIFICATION" IN THE TEXT THAT COMES UP. THEN CLICK ON "OCTOBER 24" SESSION AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS FROM THERE!

PLEASE REGISTER IMMEDIATELY. AS OF NOON ON TUESDAY, 4/15, THERE WERE STILL SPOTS AVAILABLE, BUT I EXPECT THIS WILL CLOSE OUT AT THE LASTEST ON WEDNESDAY. SO, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE REGISTER NOW.

THE COST IS $250.00, WHICH THE CLUB WILL REIMBURSE UPON YOUR COMMITMENT TO PARTICIPATE AS A COACH, OVER THE NEXT TWO YEARS, IN NO LESS THAN THREE OF OUR SEASONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS, OR IN ANOTHER COACHING CAPACITY AS APPROVED BY THE VP-TRAINING PROGRAMS AND THE PRESIDENT.
