Distance and course: 4-Miles, flat and fast, out-and-back from Fletcher's Boathouse.  Click here for course map.

NPS Race Rules:  This race takes place in the National Park Service's jurisdiction.  Please familiarize yourself and comply with our NPS Race Rules.

Registration and Fees: Online advance registration through noon the day before the race: free for members, $5 for non-members.  On-site, day-of-race registration: not available for this event, as we are not allowed to transact business at National Park Service venues. Our permit limits the race to 150 runners. No refunds.

Race-day Information: This is the second Bunion Derby Race.  The race celebrates the birthday of Hugh Jascourt, the Club's founding president. 

Timing and Awards: This race will be timed using the club's Chronotrack timing system.

Location: Fletcher's Boat House 4940 Canal Rd NW, Washington, DC

Directions to Fletcher's Boathouse: From DC/Georgetown vicinity of Key Bridge: head north on M Street, which becomes Canal Road.  See Georgetown University on your right.  Hoya Saxa!  0.6 mile past Key Bridge, the road splits at a traffic signal; Foxhall Road peels off to the right, but you'll stay left and continue on Canal Road.  1.6 miles past the traffic signal, there will be an inconspicuous driveway on the left (river side) of the road; turn down this driveway.  There is some parking just after the turnoff; if this lot is full, go through the culvert under the C&O Canal to get to the large parking lot by the Boathouse.

Note: Canal Road is one-way, outbound from D.C., from 2:45 to 7:15 pm weekdays.
