SLR July 21 - Battery Kemble Loops

Hellow Saturday Runners!

This Saturday, July 21st, we will be running the Loops of Battery Kemble Route.  The route mileage is 16 miles, but you can do more or less as needed.  The heat shouldn't be too bad either, but still make sure to stop for water when you have the chance.  Still starting at the park NW of Iwo Jima.

Thank you again to Eric Waskowicz for providing post-run drinks, and to Carl Ford and Kristin Wilhelm for mid-run drinks. Summer is just about covered, but we still need mid-run drinks for August 18th. Please email slr@dcroadrunners.org if you can help out.

In club announcements: the DCRRC 1 mile and 3K Track Championships are scheduled for Wed, July 25th.  A few other club races are coming up too, so check the "upcoming events" section on the webpage.

Directions: Just check the cue sheet and map.  The only question is how many loops through Battery Kemble will you do?

  • 0 loops gets you a 13.5 total mile run, 1 loop makes it 14.75 miles, 2 loops = 16 miles, etc.
  • each loop is 1.25 miles

All-right, thats all for now - Happy Running!
