The Friends of Montessori Education 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run is back!  We need your help to meet our ambitious goal to raise $20,000 to support more children and families who could not otherwise access a Montessori education!

Join us for the 10th annual Friends of Montessori Education 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run! Your entry will help children from lower socioeconomic backgrounds attend Montessori schools in the Metropolitan area.

Race mission: The Friends of Montessori 5k &1 Mile Fun Run is an opportunity for community members of all ages to learn more about Montessori and the mission of Friends of Montessori Education (FOME) by doing something FUN - running!

Route: An out and back course heading west starting at Bluemont park (329 N. Manchester St.) along the W & OD trail.

Entry Fees

• 5K RACE
  • Before March 29: (t-shirts will be guaranteed if you register by March 29th, 2023)
    • $30 for children
    • $35 for adults
  • After March 29 and race day: (t-shirts will not be guaranteed if registered after March 29th, 2023)
    • $35 for children
    • $40 for adults
• 1 MILE FUN RUN
  • Before March 29 (t-shirts will be guaranteed if registered by March 29th) $25 all registrants
  • March 29 - race day: $35 all registrants

The race will be capped at 200 runners so sign up early!

Packet Pickup

Packets will be available race day at Bluemont Park, May 7, from 8:15 - 8:50 AM.

Event Parking

Limited parking at Bluemont Park. Additional parking available along residential streets.

5K: Top 3 M/F Overall

Top 2 M/F Age Group, 6 & Under, 6 - 12, 13 - 20, 20 - 29 yrs, 30-39 yrs, 40-49 yrs, 50-59 yrs, 60 & Up
