20-Miler and Rediscovery 10K -- Final Updates

Club Members and Guests:
A lot coming up this weekend, with the 20-Miler highlighting the events.
1. 20-Miler Packet Pick-Up will be at Gotta Run, 1101 South Joyce St., on Pantagon Row in South Arlington. Time is from 11 AM TO 3 PM. Please use packet pick-up on Saturday if you possibly can, in ordet to make things easier for yourself (and the race officials) on Sunday morning.
2. No Headphones Rule Will Be Enforced: Pursuant to the rules adopted by the sport's governing bodies, the Road Runners Club of America, and USA Track and Field, no headphones are permitted in any race sponsored by DCRRC. This rule will be enforced at the 20-Miler. Please leave your headphones at home, or have a plan to leave them someplace safe during the race.
3. 20-Miler Registration Still Open: We are close to our race limit, but some spots are still open for the 20-Miler. Please register at the packet pick-up on Saturday. We cannot guarantee that there will be any spots available for same-day registration.
4. Volunteers: We are blessed with a great number of folks who have volunteered to help with these races. If you have not signed up but can help, please let us know. "Early shift" volunteers for the 20-Miler should report by 6:30-6:45 at the Sandburg Middle School. Those working the later and clean-up shift should report by 9:30. If there is anybody who would like to work at the Rediscovery 10K in West Potomac Park, please CALL me at 571-217-6547 at your earliest convenience.
