March 27 SLR

Hello Saturday Runners!

Congratulations to everyone who completed the National Marathon or Half Marathon last Saturday.  This week we will have some new faces joining us from that training program, as well as familiar faces looking for a shorter recovery run, and still others who are coming back from an off season (or a non-season) and ready to build a base.

Our main route this Saturday is Cathedral Clintons., with a distance of approximately 13 miles.  For those looking for something shorter, Andrew Kent has summed up our distances for an earlier turnaround on the Rock Creek Trail.

Distances (out-n-back on RCT)

9 – to bottom of Calvert Ave Bridge

8 – to under Mass Ave Bridge

7 – to footbridge over Rock Creek by Oak Hill cemetery

6.4 – to P Street

5 – To K Street Bridge

4.25 – to K St and back via Key Bridge

Hopefully there's something to please everyone in there!

As for beverages, Jim Cardosi and Rick DeSaussure will be rounding out March, and Nikki Elston will take over for April, so please thank them when you see them.  If anybody wants to step up for May, just let me know!

See you Saturday,

Kristin
