SLR - Oct 1 - 18 Mile - National Arboretum

Hi Runners!

We are meeting at 7 AM this weekend: 10/1. After this weekend (starting 10/8) SLR will be meeting at 8 AM for the rest of the winter. Marathon and 10 miler training folks, please differ to your respective coaches on start times. I wanted to give people at over a week to plan for the change.

The run this weekend is the National Arboretum route! The cue sheets and gps are here. I really like this one because it is a little different than our typical routes! It will be rainy this weekend so make sure your good socks are clean!

Thanks to Jenny for mid-run drinks! She will be located in the parking area right by the administrative building. This is where you pass at miles 7, 10.25, and 11.25. Thanks to Kirsten for the post run drinks!

Upcoming volunteer oppotunities for MCM 50K water stop, SLR post run drinks, and Alexandria Turkey Trot! Check out the website or upcoming membership newsletter for more details!

Huge thanks to Sarah for creating a fall 2022 race tracker! Sign up to connect with other club members and allow us to publicize how great you raced on social media!

The next bookclub book will be in December and it looks good! Check out Ghost Runner: The Tragedy of the Man They Couldn't Stop.

See you soon!

Megan
