SLR - July 10 - 10 miles

Hi Runners,

Happy first day of training programs! I will be out of town, but someone will be there to kick you off. The route this weekend the C&O Canal Route. The cue sheet and GPS links are here with the option to run up to 20 miles. The recommended distance is 10.2 miles, but please feel free to add on! Kate S. will be bringing mid run drinks (thank you Kate!) and will be at Lock 5 which is about 5.1 miles into the route. After reaching Kate you can turn around or keep going depending on your goal. Thank you Yared for post run drinks!

The pedestrian bridge in Georgetown may still be shut down (you will be able to see if it is from Key Bridge). If the pedestrian bridge is closed, when you take a right off of key bridge, instead of going down to the bridge, keep going straight for 2 more blocks until you hit the next pedestrian bridge.

Upcoming bunion derby races are on the website, check them out!

If want some speed work and Thursday mornings aren't your thing, you are in luck. Wednesday night track is back at Washington and Liberty highschool!

Please be sure to follow CDC guidelines with respect to COVID-19.

Happy running!
