VIRTUAL - SLR April 17 - 18 Miles

Hi Runners!

Apologies for the hiatus. I have been having technical difficulties with my laptop, but I found a work around. This weekend’s run is the 18 mile Anacostia Riverwalk Loop. The cue sheet and gps file are here.

Kam and I are working on another virtual relay challenge, more details next week!

In the meantime, I would love to hear your thoughts on how to best resume SLR safely and comfortably. I am not sure if now is the right time to resume, so I would welcome your thoughts.

As we all now know far too well, COVID is a highly contagious virus transmitted through air and duration of exposure plays a huge role. We also now know that individuals can be asymptomatic but spread the virus. I am not a medical professional, but it seems to me breathing heavily near someone else for an hour+ long run would be more risky than, say, passing someone in a race. Another consideration is there are more and more emergency use vaccines being made available to people in our communities.

Please feel free to email me at megan@dcroadrunners.org with your thoughts.

Happy Running!
