Hi Runners,
FYI, I just learned there is a political march in DC today. To avoid crowds, I suggest staying away from the mall area. I wouldn't have suggested Southeast DC as a route if I knew. I personally will be doing an out and back on W&OD or Captial Cresent Trail to avoid crowds.
