SLR February 29 - National Arboretum

Hi Saturday Runners,

Happy leap year! This week we will be doing the 18 mile National Arboretum route (downloads: cue sheet and GPS). To shorten the run you can either go for a shorter loop inside the arboretum, or if you just run out and back to the entrance of the arboretum it’s 14 miles.

This weekend is the US Olympic Marathon Trials! If you’re interested in watching with fellow runners there will be a watch party at Across the Pond Restaurant & Pub from 11:30-3:00.

Thanks to Sang K for post-run drinks! We will need more volunteers for the last week of April and all of May. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up to date on the SLR web page, and you can email me at megan@dcroadrunners.org any time to sign up. For general information on how volunteering works see the SLR FAQ or send me an email with any specific questions.

The Annual Banquet on March 1 is coming up! You can sign up here. We will be collecting unopened, healthy, low sugar, cereal to support the Capital Area Food Bank. All contributors will be given a raffle ticket for awesome door prizes.

See you soon!

Megan

Upcoming club races:
