SLR January 4 - Pentagon - Army Navy

Hello Saturday Runners!

Happy New Year! Thanks to Mike for leading SLR for the past 5 years, he has done a great job.

To kick off the new year, the morning of January 4th, we will be doing the 12 mile Pentagon - Army Navy run (downloads: cue sheet and GPS). If you'd like to adjust the length of this route, you can add on by running out and back on Mt. Vernon trail.

Thank you Anna for post-run drinks this week! We will need more volunteers in February and the end of March onward, so please let me know when you can help. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up to date on the SLR web page, and you can email me at megan@dcroadrunners.org any time to book your slot. For general info on how volunteering works see the SLR FAQ or send me an email if you have any other specific questions.

Nominations for 2019 club awards (presented at the Club Banquet in March 2020) will be accepted until January 5, 2020. You may submit multiple nominations, for the same or different awards, and self-nominations (anonymous or not) are allowed. Also, we have added a grand-masters (60+) category to the awards this year. This is your annual chance to recognize the outstanding achievements of all the great runners with us every week at SLR!

We're looking for more volunteers to staff the upcoming Al Lewis Ten Miler, on Saturday January 11, so please sign up to help there if you can.
