SLR April 27 - Bluemont L Loop

Hello Saturday Runners!

This week's route, tomorrow morning on Saturday April 27, will be the 12 mile Bluemont L Loop (downloads: cue sheet and GPS). For a shorter run, you can cut off 2 miles by skipping the short leg of the L and returning directly from the Custis Trail along Lynn St through Rosslyn, or you can cut off 3 miles by skipping the Bluemont portion and going directly from Fairfax Drive to the Custis Trail by following the 66 on-ramp on the right side of the road. W&OD and Roosevelt Island trails are both a convenient way to add extra mileage if that's what you'd prefer.

Thank you Alex Albertini for post-run drinks this week! We will need more post-run beverage volunteers in May and beyond, as well as mid-run volunteers starting up again after Memorial Day, so please get in touch with me if you can help. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up-to-date on the SLR web page, and you can email me any time to book your slot. For general info on how volunteering works see the SLR FAQ or send me an email if you have any other specific questions.

Happy running,

Mike
