SLR March 2 - Chain Bridge Loop

Hello Saturday Runners!

For those of you tapering to run Rock n Roll DC next week, this week's SLR on March 2 will be a little bit shorter than usual, Chain Bridge Loop (downloads: cue sheet and GPS) for 10 miles. If you'd like to extend it to 12 or 14 miles, you can do so by following the Marymount Chain Bridge variation of this route that's also in our regular rotation.

Thank you Jill Brasky for providing post-run drinks for the last two weeks! We will more volunteers in April and beyond, so please let me know when you can help out. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up-to-date on the SLR web page, and you can email me any time to book your slot. For general info on how volunteering works see the SLR FAQ or send me an email if you have any other specific questions.

The club's annual banquet and membership meeting is this weekend on Sunday, at Maggiano's in Friendship Heights! If you're still planning to attend but haven't registered yet, you can do so on the club website until noon on Sunday. Families are welcome, and there will be plenty of food included with cash bar available. The program will include presentation of annual awards, election of the following year's board of directors, a state of the club presentation, plus guest speaker Dr. Mark Cucuzzella, one of the world's leading running doctors and creator of the Air Force Efficient Running Program.

Happy running,

Mike
