SLR December 29 - Festivus Run

Hello Saturday Runners!

After last week's Christmas Tree Run, this week's route for the rest-of-us is the Festivus Run! (downloads: cue sheet and GPS) The route is 14 miles of Strava art, to fashion a sturdy, spare, mounted pole with excellent strength to weight ratio. If you'd like to run either a shorter or longer distance, I'd suggest adjusting how far you run up 16th St before turning around, to get either a taller or shorter pole. The rain should be past by Saturday, so it's looking like a nice day in store for your holiday run!

Thank you Eric Jackson for post-run drinks this week, and Jonny Pellish for filling in for me! We will need more volunteers in January and beyond, so please let me know when you can help. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up-to-date on the SLR web page, and you can email me any time to book your slot. For general info on how volunteering works see the SLR FAQ or send me an email if you have any other specific questions.

Nominations for 2018 club awards (presented at the Club Banquet in March 2019) will be accepted until January 6, 2019. You may submit multiple nominations, for the same or different awards. Self-nominations are allowed. This is your annual chance to recognize the outstanding achievements of your SLR buddies!

Happy running,

Mike
