SLR June 30 - RFK

Hello Saturday Runners!

This week's route on Saturday the 30th is out & back to RFK (downloads: cue sheet and GPS) for 12 miles. If you'd like to shorten the run you can simply turn around sooner before you get to RFK stadium, or if you'd like to add distance there any number of easy ways to do so. One possible option - if you take a left at 15th St on your way back just before the Washington Monument, follow Ohio Dr down around Hains Point, and return to the route on Memorial Bridge this will add about 4 miles to make it a 16 mile run total. I'm out of town this weekend, but Coach Jonny will be there to get the run started for both SLR and MTP!

Thanks again this week to both James Sledge for post-run drinks and Ted Logothetti for mid-run drinks! Ted will be located on East Capitol St, near Lincoln Park, which you'll pass at roughly 5 and 7 miles into the run.

We are in need of more volunteers in August and beyond for post-run drinks as well as mid-run drinks starting next week, so please let me know if you can help with either of these. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up-to-date on the SLR web page, and you can email me any time to book your slot. For more info on how volunteering works, please first see the SLR FAQ, and after that send me an email if you'd like any additional details.

Happy running,

Mike
