SLR June 16 - National Capitol

Hello Saturday Runners!

This week's run on Saturday, June 16 will be 12 miles to the National Capitol (downloads: cue sheet and GPS). If you'd like to shorten the run, you can make it about 10 miles by returning over Memorial Bridge (the same as on your way out) rather than going down to the 14th St Bridge. I'm out of town this weekend, but Coach Jonny will be there to get things going for both you and the marathon training program jump-start on what looks to be a beautiful morning for a run!

Thank you Shawna Barry for post-run drinks the past couple weeks! We unfortunately do not have a volunteer for mid-run drinks this week, so please make sure to carry your own fluids for this run or make use of the water fountains along the Mall. We are in need of more volunteers in August and beyond for post-run drinks as well as mid-run drinks after next week, so please let me know if you can help with either of these. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up-to-date on the SLR web page, and you can email me any time to book your slot. For more info on how volunteering works, please first see the SLR FAQ, and after that send me an email if you'd like any additional details.

Happy running,

Mike
