SLR Addendum - Longer workout for those not tapering this week

From one of our MTP coaches, Steve Easley:

"For those Marathon Training Program Participants running Late Marathons the program is offering alternate SLR's to help you prepare for your later races.  While most MTP participants are running the MCM next week, and thus will run a short taper run tomorrow of ten miles, Coach Big Guy and some Philly marathon trainees will be running fourteen tomorrow.  Given the wet conditions, we will be running out the C&O towpath to the boathouse and heading up the Capital Crescent to Mile Marker 4.5 (about seven miles out), and then we return to Iwo Jima).  Next week we will run 18 (perhaps the Arlington Triangle), and our final big run will be on October 31 with the 22.5 Miler out Capital Crescent and then back on Beach Drive.  We will then taper just like the MCM people the 7th and 14th of November, and run Philly on the 22nd.  Big Guy will lead tomorrow and the 31st, and will be looking for help to lead the other runs.  If you have any questions, or if you are planning on joining up, please send Big Guy an email at easleystephen at yahoo.com.  He will be glad to answer any questions for those not running either MCM or Philly who need to adjust their schedules.  Happy Trails!"
