Feb 3 HPT Tempo Run

Good balmy February morning everyone looks like it's going to be a good evening for a tempo run.

according to the not so proverbial plan, we are supposed to run 27 minutes worth of tempo tonight, which means that we are going all the way around Hains Point clockwise, but not starting the tempo section until the golf course gate.

For those of you who like running extra miles beforehand, this may now be unnecessary.

See you this evening

Club Announcements:

Club Challenge
All Monday evening runners should plan on running the Club Challenge 10M , and the club has a bus to take everyone to the event club bus.  Sign up quickly because both fill up.

Club Banquet:
Registration is also open for the club banquet. This is a great place to eat some cheap food, socialize with other members outside of a running environment, meet people who may not run in the same groups as you, learn about our club's finances, and most importantly vote on the new board and capital expenditures. Register here https://www.dcroadrunners.org/sign-up/banquet

Gathering Points:

Iwo Jima 6:30: Bikeshare station at the corner of N Meade St and 14th St N
Jefferson Memorial 6:55: water fountain near the refreshment kiosk on East Basin Drive
Georgetown post tempo: corner of Virginia Avenue and Rock Creek

If you get dropped by the group:

Keep running or walking toward Georgetown, the group will gather up at Virginia Ave and Rock Creek, and will start backtracking to find stragglers after a few minutes. Please do not stop or head a different direction without telling someone.
