Go through Rosslyn
Cross Key Bridge
Note: MCM MM #4 will be approximately 1/3 of the way across the bridge
1.0 Right along M St. through Georgetown to 30th St.
Right along 30th St to K St.
Left along K St. under Whitehurst Expressway
Right along Rock Creek Parkway
Note: We are omitting the out-n-back portion along Rock Creek Parkway, but MCM MM #9 will be
about here. From this point, the route follows the MCM course almost exactly through MCM MM #20.

2.5 Pass by Kennedy Center on your left
Follow circle to left of Lincoln Memorial
Left along Henry Bacon Drive toward Constitution Ave..
Right along Constitution Ave.
4.0 Pass Ellipse on your left
Right along 14th St.
Left along Madison Dr. toward Capitol
Left onto 3rd St across Pennsylvania Ave.
Right onto Constitution Ave.
Left on Louisiana Ave toward Union Station
Right onto D St.
6.5 Right onto 1st St.
Note: MCM MM #13 will be about here.
Continue up slight incline behind Capitol Building
Right onto Independence Ave.
Pass Washington Monument on your right
Continue along Independence toward Lincoln Memorial
9.5 Left onto Ohio Drive
Note: MCM MM #16 will be a little beyond this turn. At this point, you will have a pretty good feel for
your race day. But don't get too anxious, since you will still have 10 miles left. You will need to keep
pacing yourself.
Follow Ohio Dr. past Jefferson Memorial on your left
Continue toward Hains Point.
11.5 Loop around end of Hains Point and back up the other side
Note: On race day, you will have just passed MCM MM #18. Unfortunately, the crowd support will be
pretty thin. You will have to remember how hard you've worked and keep pushing yourself.
13.5 Left onto E. Basin Dr.
Pass Jefferson Memorial on your right
Cross 14th St. Bridge
Note: At this point, you are no longer on the official MCM Route. Instead, the MCM course winds
its way through Pentagon City and Crystal City.
Follow Mt Vernon Trail toward Memorial Bridge (Potomac River will be on your right)
Follow bike trail from Memorial Bridge to finish at Iwo Jima
16.5 Finish at Iwo Jima
Note: This last climb can be tough, but thousands of people will be cheering you on.
