Join the club for this great family event. In addition to the traditional 3+ mile Cross Country race at Lake Accotink Park, we will be featuring a picnic for all Club members, family members, and race participants.

Distance and course: Out and back course at Lake Accotink Park. 

Picnic:  DCRR have reserved the Small Shelter Lake Accontink Park.  From riding the carrousel, kayaking, or renting pedal boats, there are many so many activities for everyone.  The shelter is reserved from 9 a.m. to sunset and everyone is welcome to enjoy the facility all day.  

Registration and Fees:

If you would like to attend the picnic but not run the race you are welcome to but please click "Register Now" and select "Coming to the picnic but not running" so we can have an accurate headcount.

Online advance registration through 6 PM the day before the race:

$0 for club members

$10 for non-members.

On-site, day-of-race registration:

$10 for club members

$15 for non-members, check (payable to DC Road Runners) or exact change appreciated.

Who is registered?  check this list.  You should receive a confirmation email but sometimes they end up in a spam folder.  This list will serve as the alternative confirmation of your registration.

Refund Policy:  We have a strict no refund, no transfer and no deferral policy on all of our low key races.  However, in the event we are forced to cancel this race due to weather or other unforeseen events we will make every attempt to reschedule this race on another date.  In this event, your registration would automatically carry over to the new date.  If you are unable to run this new date or we are unable to find a new date for the race we will grant you free entry into another of our low key races in which room is available.

Race-day Information: Kids' race starts at 5:30 p.m.  Adults' race starts at 5:40 p.m.  Dinner begins at 6:15 p.m.  For directions to Lake Accotink Park (Small Shelter) click here!

Timing:  This race is timed using the Chronotrack timing system.

Stroller and Dog Policy:  Dogs are welcome but strollers will not be able to negotiate this course.

Headphone Policy:  The use of headphones is strongly discouraged at all DCRR Club races.
