If you would like information about our club membership and the many benefits go to our membership page.

Refund Policy:  We have a strict no refund, no transfer and no deferral policy on all of our low key races.  However, in the event we are forced to cancel this race due to weather or other unforeseen events we will make every attempt to reschedule this race on another date.  In this event, your registration would automatically carry over to the new date.  If you are unable to run this new date or we are unable to find a new date for the race we will grant you free entry into another of our low key races in which room is available.

Volunteers: We always need additional help in putting on these races. Please sign up here, if you (or a family member who is accompanying you to the race) can assist.

Location and Directions: Start line will be in the Langley Fork Park.  Take George Washington Parkway to Chain Bridge Road/Dolly Madison Blvd toward McLean, Rt-123 South.  After 0.9 mile, turn right onto Georgetown Pike.  (Don't turn early, or you'll visit the CIA, which can neither confirm nor deny anything about a race.)  After 0.15 mile, turn right onto Colonial Farm Road, at the intersection with the "FHWA Turner Fairbank Highway Research Center | Claude Moore Colonial Farm" sign.  The entrance to the Langley Fork Park main parking lot will be 100 yards ahead on your left.  Please park in the main lot, not in the little lot off Georgetown Pike where we'll have the start/finish line set up.

Distance and Course Description: 8K. The course will start at the Langley Fork Park. The course will be run on the bike path and will follow a similar path as previous years (excluding the Langley HS portions). Here is the course certification map. Out on the bikepath towards the Beltway.  Pass Langley HS entrance.  Right on Mackall Avenue, and do the course as before, until you get to Benjamin and Lawton.  Then go STRAIGHT on Benjamin to Balls Hill Road, turn right, take right on Arbor Lane, right on Lawton, left on Benjamin, and the remainder is the same returning as it was going out.  Best described as an "out and back with loop in the middle" course.  (No extra distance added on River Oaks Drive; no running into the school parking lot, etc.).

Timing:  This race is timed using the Chronotrack timing system.

Awards:  1st Male and Female - $20, 2nd Male and Female - $15, 3rd Male and Female - $10, 1st Male and Female Masters - $10, 1st, 2nd  and 3rd Male and Female in Age Groups - $5 (0 - 9, 10 - 14, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70 - 79, 80 +)

Stroller and Dog Policy:  This race is held on a fairly narrow public trail.  In addition to the many race participants this trail also remains open to the public for use by walkers, runners and bicyclers.  As such, dogs and strollers are prohibited on this particular course.

Headphone Policy:  The use of headphones is strongly discouraged at all DCRR Club races.
