A training program for athletes who are running the 2019 Rock n Roll DC Half-marathon or another spring race.

The DCRR Spring Half-Marathon Training Program is designed for those racing the Rock 'n' Roll DC Half-Marathon, and we welcome athletes running other spring marathons as well. The program is open to any healthy adult at virtually any level of athletic ability. There is no speed requirement and all paces are welcome. The training program, with expert coaching, includes Saturday morning group training runs and mid-week speed workouts. The 14-week program starts on December 1 at Georgetown Running Company.

In order to get the most from your training program, we strongly encourage that at the start of the program your weekly running mileage be at least 9 miles with a long run of 3 miles.

The Training Program includes:

  • Weekly group Saturday morning long runs
  • Overall training schedule
  • Weekly track sessions
  • Several social events
  • Weekly email tips
  • Weekly pace group coach emails
  • Special appearances, lectures and giveaways

The program is FREE for current DCRRC members, and membership in DC Road Runners is required to participate in the program. All participants must register for the program and volunteer at two DCRRC events. You will also need to register for a race on your own (no guaranteed or free entries are provided by DCRRC).
