The program is op en to any healthy adult at virtually any level of athletic ability. There is no speed requirement an d all paces are welcome. The training program\, wi th expert coaching\, includes \;Saturday \ ;morning group training runs and mid-week speed wo rkouts. The 14-week program starts on January 2\, 2021 \;at Georgetown Running Company. \n \n In order to get the most from your training progra m\, we strongly encourage that at the start of the program your weekly running mileage be at least 9 miles with a long run of 3 miles. \n \n The Tra ining Program includes: \n \n \n Weekly group Saturday morning long runs \n \n Overall trai ning schedule \n \n Weekly track sessions \n \n Several social events \n \n Weekly email tips \n \n Special appearances\, lectures and giveaways \n \n \n Membership in DC Road Runne rs is required to participate in the program.  \; \;The half-marathon training program is&nbs p\;$25 \;for current \;DCRRC members.  \;You must also select and register for a half-mar athon on your own (no guaranteed or free entries a re provided by DCRRC). Training program members ar e also encouraged to participate in / volunteer at the club'\;s many \;free \;races and e vents\, which are included in your membership fee. We are all part of the DMV'\;s running communi ty and it'\;s up to us to keep it inclusive and vibrant!
