  have a strict no refund\, no transfer and no defe
 rral policy on all of our low key races.&nbsp\; Ho
 wever\, in the event we are forced to cancel this 
 race due to weather or other unforeseen events we 
 will make every attempt to reschedule this race on
  another date.&nbsp\; In this event\, your registr
 ation would automatically carry over to the new da
 te.&nbsp\; If you are unable to run this new date 
 or we are unable to find a new date for the race w
 e will grant you free entry into another of our lo
 w key races in which room is available.

 ce-day Information: The race will start promptly a
 t 6:45 PM as we must be out of the park by 8:00 PM
 .

\n 	A note on the scheduling: in response to
  runners&#39\; comments that Burke Lake Park is &q
 uot\;too hard&quot\; to reach in commuter traffic\
 , in 2011 we investigated moving the race to Sunda
 y morning.&nbsp\; We learned that weekend scheduli
 ng would require runners to pay the $10 park entra
 nce fee\, so we kept it on Tuesday night.&nbsp\; T
 hank you for understanding.

\n 	Volunteers: We
  always need additional help in putting on these r
 aces. Please sign up here\, if you (or a family me
 mber who is accompanying you to the race) can assi
 st.

 rom the Beltway &ndash\; Take the Braddock Road We
 st exit and travel approximately 2 miles. Turn lef
 t onto Burke Lake Road (at Kings Park Shopping Cen
 ter). Follow Burke Lake Road for 5 miles.&nbsp\; T
 urn left onto Ox Road (Route 123 South).&nbsp\; *T
 he golf course entrance is the first left off Ox R
 oad (Route 123). The park entrance is the second l
 eft off Ox Road (Route 123).

\n 	Parking:&nbsp
 \; Parking is free &ndash\; there is NO charge for
  entrance to the park on weekdays.
\n 
\n 	Timing:
 &nbsp\;&nbsp\;This race is timed using the Chronot
 rack timing system.
\n 
\n 	Post Race Celebration:
 &nbsp\; After the race stick around and celebrate 
 a great run with your fellow runners\, watch the a
 wards announcements and partake in refreshments.&n
 bsp\; Along the same vein as awards we do not guar
 antee food.&nbsp\; But again we love to provide it
  after our races.&nbsp\; Our races will generally 
 have food and drinks at the post race celebration.
 &nbsp\; We will have Gatorade and/or water at all 
 functions and occasionally coffee or hot chocolate
  as well.&nbsp\; Food can include bagels\, cookies
 \, fruit and even sometimes cake.&nbsp\; So stick 
 around and enjoy the celebration.

\n 	Stroller
  and Dog Policy:&nbsp\; This race is held on a fai
 rly narrow public trail.&nbsp\; In addition to the
  many race participants this trail also remains op
 en to the public for use by walkers\, runners and 
 bicyclers.&nbsp\; As such\, dogs and strollers are
  prohibited on this particular course.

 ongly discouraged at all DCRR Club races.
