There are approximately 20 separate start times\, based USATF age-grade table s for men and women. Winners of the race have rang ed from teens to 50-somethings\, both men and wome n. All runners receive prizes since all participan ts are encouraged to contribute unique used items to the prize pool. Past prizes have included 1970s baseball cards\, a Simpsons dart board\, a New Gu inean sheath. More conventional prizes also are aw arded\, including cherry\, apple\, and blueberry p ies in commemoration of the nation'\;s birthday . \; \n \n Race Director: Dylan Barlett \n \n Distance and course: Double out-and-back betwe en the 9 and 11 mile markers on the C&\;O Canal Towpath\, start and finish at Carderock Recreatio n Area\, MD. \n \n Registration and Fees: \n \n \n Online advance registration through 4 PM t he day before the race: \n \n \n $0 for club members \n \n $10 for non-members \n \n \n \n On-site\, day-of-race registrat ion: No On-Site Registration due to NPS rules \n \n \n Who is registered? \;check this list. You should receive a confirmation email but someti mes they end up in a spam folder. This list will s erve as the alternative confirmation of your regis tration. \n \n If you signed up for the race and can no longer run please email races@dcroadrunner s.org to inform us of your cancelation. There will be no refund for canceling but you will open up a spot for a fellow runner. \n \n If you would li ke information about our club membership and the m any benefits go to our membership page. \n \n Re fund Policy: We have a strict no refund\, no trans fer and no deferral policy on all of our low key r aces. However\, in the event we are forced to canc el this race due to weather or other unforeseen ev ents we will make every attempt to reschedule this race on another date. No str eet address available since it&rsquo\;s in a Natio nal Park. Capital Bel tway (I-495)\, Exit 41 (Clara Barton Parkway). Fol low signs that say: Maryland and/or Carderock/Glen Echo. Drive about a mile and exit Right at the Ca rderock sign. Follow additional signs to the parki ng lots."\;Race Headquarters"\; is located at the first parking area after you go through th e culvert and then turn right. \n \n Post Race C elebration: After the race stick around and celebr ate a great run with your fellow runners\, watch t he awards announcements and partake in refreshment s. Along the same vein as awards we do not guarant ee food. But again we love to provide it after our races. Our races will generally have food and dri nks at the post race celebration. We will have Gat orade and/or water at all functions and occasional ly coffee or hot chocolate as well. Food can inclu de bagels\, cookies\, fruit and even sometimes cak e. So stick around and enjoy the celebration. \n \n Stroller and Dog Policy: This race is held on a fairly narrow public trail. In addition to the m any race participants this trail also remains open to the public for use by walkers\, runners and bi cyclers. As such\, dogs and strollers are prohibit ed on this particular course. \n \n Headphone Po licy: The use of headphones is strongly discourage d at all DCRR Club races.
