Hi Everyone. The DC Road Runners Club will be electing a new board of directors for the 2018-2019 term on Sunday night March 4 at our annual meeting and banquet. We are still looking to fill the following roles:
- Webmaster
- Volunteer Coordinator
- VP of Races
- Director of Race Operations
I would like to remind everyone that we are an all volunteer organization. We can't put on the program we do, and that you all love, without the support of our member volunteers. Please consider if you are willing to serve on our club board. If you are like me, you will find it very rewarding. You will be helping so many people in the club and our community that are just like you, they love to run!
As a practical matter, all the outgoing volunteers for these roles are either staying on the board in other positions or still going to be providing major volunteer role support to the club. They will be happy to speak to any interested members and of course train them for the role. This is especially true for our VP of Races (and 2017 Volunteer of the Year, Paul Westcott) who will still actively support our races.
