SMR March 1 - Downtown Tour

Date: Sunday, March 1

Time: 8:30AM

Location: Fuse Pilates in Dupont Circle area (2008 Hillyer Rd NW Washington, DC)

Distance: 2-10 miles

Remember, Fuse opens 10 minutes prior to the start of our runs. If you arrive any earlier the doors will be locked, so just wait outside (but you are in the right place!). The SMR runs do not have a sign-in/sign-out so please make sure to stick with a buddy and please click on the route pre-run to decide what option you would like to do. We run rain or shine, but will post on this site if at any time the runs are canceled due to serious inclement weather.

You can tailor any of the routes to meet your running needs if you prefer to run less or more mileage. If you need help or have questions, please email Kristi@dcroadrunners.org.

The route this week is designed as a loop, but if you want shorter mileage it is an out and back.

If you want longer mileage you can go up the hill and around the capitol before continuing around the mall (this will add an additional 1mile).

We will begin all routes taking a right out of Fuse and making the first Right onto Connecticut Ave. Merge onto 17th St and then take a Left onto Pennsylvania Ave (by the White House). Make a Right onto 15th and then a Left back onto Pennsylvania Ave. Follow until you hit the Capitol and make a Right onto 3rd St NW and then a Left onto Jefferson Dr SW. Take Jefferson down the National Mall. Take a Left onto 14th St and take the 14th St Bridge and take a Right off to hit the Mount Vernon Trail. Follow the Trail until the Arlington Bridge and a Right to take the bridge back across. Loop around the Lincoln and take a Left onto Henry Bacon Dr. Take a right onto Constitution and then a Left onto 19th St. Take 19th back to Dupont Circle and Fuse.

4.5 mile option: Turn around at the Capitol

6 mile option: Turn Right on 14th (instead of Left) and take 14th back to Pennsylvania and backtrack the first 1.5miles back to Dupont

9 mile option: Complete the full route loop

10 mile option: Complete the full loop route and also add in around the Capitol (at mile 2.5)

Following our runs Fuse offers several different Sunday Pilates classes (at cost). There's a 10:00am Fuse Focus with Clare, a 10:45am Mat Class with Gillian, a 11:00am Chair Class with Tori, and/or a noon Will Power and Grace with Lisa!!! So many choices!!!!

Fuse offers several first-timers' class specials and 10% off all other classes and packages for DC Road Runners. So make sure and tell them you're from the running club! It's a great way to get a full well-rounded Sunday morning workout (run then Pilates!).
