May 20 HPT Tempo run -- First Taco Night?

Hey everyone,

It's Monday, it's May, and it's hot so we might as well run a tempo run.

We are still doing the nice short little tempos right now, and won't begin ramping it up to longer runs until mid-June, so enjoy it while you can.

Tonight we will once again do the short clip from Iwo --> Jefferson warmup, Jefferson --> Georgetown tempo, Georgetown --> Iwo cooldown.

I am also open to doing tacos if people are up for it (Anna, Cole?).

See ya tonight.

May 13 HPT Tempo Run

Good rainy Monday, everyone. While it's pretty dreary right now, looks like by the time we start our run this evening it will actually be pretty nice out there.
Since we are still in easy mode, this evening will be the short version of tempo again... Two miles from the Jefferson Memorial to Georgetown.
Our new schedule targeting marine Corps Marathon will begin on June 10.
See you later.

May 6 HPT Hill Workout

What's up, everyone!?! Since we are in offseason, recovery time, whatever you want to call it. And we are getting ready for shorter faster summer races, I thought we would do something a little different for today's hills.

But first, Cole has decided that he would constructively contribute to the HPT conversation by sending me this article.

I have many questions, mostly directed at Dylan.

1. This is not a furry? but is there a name for building costume people?

2. Dylan, why have you not attempted a record of the sort?

3. This guy clearly prepared for the race, how did he not think that there may have been clearance issues?

As for the workout, I was thinking we would head on over to Lover's Lane in Georgetown, and do 10 repeats over there. It's drastically steeper than other places which should be good for summer speed.
