There was a very good turnout for the seventh running of this trifecta, with good weather on Preakness Saturday.  Twenty two horses, er, runners toed the line for the first two races, and 23 for the 1.5 mile Belmont.  Although none of the three were quite as close as the Preakness duel later in the day between Street Sense and Curlin, fast times were had by all.  James Seefeldt arrived late and ran (and won) the second and third races.  Stephen Wills won the Kentucky Derby.  But on the women's side, Kitty Phillips won all three to take home the Triple Crown prize.  In fact, the 1-2-3 order was identical in all three races for the fillies, with Kitty followed by Sarah Buckheit and Leslie Stanfield.  (All of them are mares, uh, masters, by the way).
Pimlico Race Track (Maryland Racing) provided racing passes for prizes.
Many thanks to the following volunteers:  Eugene Fox, Lee Glassco, Jim Darr, Dan Gardner, Steve Ciccarelli, and Pat Brown.  Bob Selin-Williams also helped with results.
