This is the second Bunion Derby Race. This is a Club "low key, show-up, sign-up and run" event. Free for members, $5 for non-members.  Directions to Fletcher's Boathouse: From DC/Georgetown vicinity of Key Bridge: head north on M Street, which becomes Canal Road. See Georgetown University on your right. Hoya Saxa! 0.6 mile past Key Bridge, the road splits at a traffic signal; Foxhall Road peels off to the right, but you'll stay left and continue on Canal Road. 1.6 miles past the traffic signal, there will be an inconspicuous driveway on the left (river side) of the road; turn down this driveway. There is some parking just after the turnoff; if this lot is full, go through the culvert under the C&O Canal to get to the large parking lot by the Boathouse. |
