Sunday, February 17, 2013, 10:30am – 4:30pm
Marathon: The race is conducted on a USATF-certified course consisting of three scenic loops with rolling hills. This race may be run as a Boston Marathon qualifier.
Marathon Relay: The relay is run at the same time and on the same course as the Marathon. The relay exchange is at the USDA Visitor Center. The relay team consists of three people in one of the five categories: Open Men, Open Women, Masters Men, Masters Women, and Co-Ed.The Course closes at 4:30 pm (6 hours after the start time). Race officials reserve the right to remove from the course runners who have not begun the third loop by 2:30 pm, the four-hour mark in the race.
Early Start Option: We can accept a small number of marathon runners for an early (9:30 am) start. Early starters are not eligible for awards, and some course services may not be available for the first hour of the race.
We share the course with vehicular traffic. Wearing of headphones or earbuds is strongly discouraged. Runners who insist on wearing them are urged to keep the volume low enough to maintain situational awareness and safety.
Amenities: Long sleeve T-shirts for all entrants. Medals to all Marathon finishers.
