Back for its 3rd year in a row, DC Road Runners has partnered with Greater Washington Sports Alliance as an official training provider for the Suntrust National Marathon and the Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield National Half Marathon! The 18-week program features RCCA certified coaches providing training plans, routes, support and a friendly environment. New and experienced runners are welcome!

In addition to weekend group meetings, the program offers several week-day meetings around the DC Metro area. Track workouts with on-site coaches are also available for those looking to build up their speed and achieve a PR. An added bonus is the opportunity to participate in DCRR-sponsored races during the program where trainees will be able to gain true race experience that will elevate their training.

As in years past, the program offers three training sites at local running stores; Georgetown Running Company for Full Marathon trainees, Pacers Pentagon Row for Half Marathon trainees, and Fleet Feet Adams Morgan for both trainees. Upon registering for the program, trainees are eligible for discounts at each store as well as a one-year membership with DC Road Runners.

The program kicked off on November 14th but it’s not too late to sign up! Visit the National Half/Full site by clicking on the link below to secure your spot at one of the training locations.
