DC Road Runners is excited to offer a 10K training program this spring.
The program runs for 11 weeks, and welcomes new and experienced runners.
The target race will be the Capitol Hill Classic 10K on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Race info on the Capitol Hill Classic 10K can be found at: http://capitolhillclassic.com/.
The 10K training program will meet Saturday mornings at 9:00 am at Georgetown Running Company at 3400 M Street for a weekly group run. The first meeting will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at 9:00 am. In addition, the program offers a running schedule for members’ independent runs during the week. Runners will also receive a weekly email with the running schedule and training tips. Runners should be prepared to run 2.0 miles at the first meeting and the 10K Training Program will not have a walking pace group.
The cost of the 10K training program will be $70, which will include 1-year membership in DC Road Runners and a DC Road Runners T-shirt. If you are already a member of DC Road Runners, the cost of the program will be $60. However, please note that the cost of the Capitol Hill Classic 10K race is NOT INCLUDED in the price; runners should register for the race at the link provided above. There will be no refunds for the 10K program.
