Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Maher called the meeting to order on time at 7pm.

Previous meeting minutes approved.

Committee Reports:

Treasurer: Getek distributed a report that highlighted recent adjustments and confirmed that the audit of the Club’s finances is ongoing.

Membership: Maguire discussed corrections and additions made to the database as well as current policy for membership renewal.

Training Programs

Track: Track regulars reported that workouts and attendance have been going well in the last month.

Saturday Long Run: SLR regulars reported that attendance has been high since the start of summer and the marathon training program, which has complicated the parking situation at Iwo Jima as DCRRC shares the area with other running groups.

Marathon Training Program: Reid reported that the program was going well and that a draft of the remaining mileage for the group had been completed.

Newsletter: Larose reported that the next newsletter was at the printer and that the next deadline is in late September.

Education/Welcome Wagon: Currently on hiatus.

Past and Future Races

Past: The summer race schedule was full and races took place as scheduled.

Future: The Club is heading towards several big fall Club races and DCRRC teams will be created for other popular upcoming races.

Other Business

Webmaster: Myrna Snider has volunteered to become the new webmaster as our current webmaster, Becky Orfinger, moves on to Boston.

Maher adjourned the meeting at 8pm.
