This is the eighth Bunion Derby Race.

DATE: Tuesday, August 18th

TIME:  6:45 PM - 8:00 PM

PLACE:  Burke Lake Park

DISTANCE: 4.5 miles

Race Director:  Karol Murray and Mary Ellen Seale

Registration:  Pre-register here.  On-site registration begins one hour before the start of the race. 

Entry Fee:  $5.00 for non-members (DCRRC) free for members

Directions:  To reach the race, take Beltway to West on Braddock Road, about 1.6 miles to Burke Lake Road make left.  About 4.5 miles to Ox Road, make left.  About .6 miles to first left PAST the golf course clubhouse.  Follow signs to ice cream parlour.

Prizes will be awarded in 10 year age groups.  In addition to individual competition this race has a Family Team catagory.  Teams consist of 1 Adult/1 Teen, 2 Adults, or 2 Teens.  Prizes will be awarded to the fastest overall team, and to the winner of each team category.  There is no additional charge for team registration.  Intent to race as a team must be listed at registration.  Scoring is for either individual or team - you will not be scored as both.

This race is a loop course consisting of one lap around Burke Lake, at Burke Lake Park.  Most of the surface is dirt trail.

Race will begin PROMPTLY at 6:45 PM as we are required to be finished and out of the park by 8:00 PM.  Please allow enough time to arrive by 6:30 PM to register for the race.
