Directions: Take the Beltway to Exit 41, Clara Barton Pkwy West toward Carderock, 0.8 miles to first exit, go across the bridge then follow signs to Carderock recreation area and parking. Parking lot is the first lot on the left.

Other information: This race is Bunion Derby Race #3. Age and gender handicaps are calculated based on the age-graded tables established by World Masters Athletics, formerly known as the World Association of Veteran Athletes (WAVA). Since there are no tables for the 4-Mile distance, the handicaps were based on the mean differential set forth in the tables for 5 Kilometers and 8 Kilometers. The performance level used for these calculations was 75 percent, defined as "regional class." Those who would like to calculate their own age-graded performances for standard distances can download a WAVA age-graded calculator through the Running Times Web site. These tables have been revised over the years, so it is possible that there will be minor revisions for next year's race.

Location : Carderock Recreation Area (on the C&O Canal)
