SMR December 20 - Christmas Tree Holiday Run

Date: Saturday, December 20
Time: 8:30AM
Location: Fuse Pilates in Dupont Circle area (2008 Hillyer Rd NW Washington, DC)
Distance: 3.5-6.5 miles

Happy holidays, everyone! In the spirit of the season, our SMR will be a tour of the National Christmas Trees.

Please note Fuse opens 10 minutes prior to the start of our runs. If you arrive any earlier the doors will be locked, so just wait outside (but you are in the right place!). The SMR runs do not have a sign-in/sign-out so please make sure to stick with a buddy and please click on the route pre-run to decide what option you would like to do. We run rain or shine, but will post on this site if at any time the runs are canceled due to serious inclement weather.

Routes for this week

You can tailor any of the routes to meet your running needs if you prefer to run less or more mileage. If you need help or have questions, please email Kristi@dcroadrunners.org.

All routes this week are a loop, so please take a peek at the map. We will begin all routes taking a RIGHT out of Fuse and making the first RIGHT onto 20st. Take a LEFT on Penn Ave, and then a RIGHT on 17th. Run around the Ellipse and the first tree will be easy to spot. From here the shorter distance group will make their way back to the studio and longer distance will continue to the Capitol.

  • 3.5-mile option: LEFT on 15th, LEFT on K St. RIGHT on Conn Ave to Dupont Circle. LEFT on Mass Ave. RIGHT on 21st to Hillyer.
  • 6.5-mile option: Go down Penn Ave to Capitol building and the second tree. Make your way to New Jersey Ave and take a RIGHT on Louisiana Ave toward Union Station. Left on Mass Ave to Dupont Cirle. RIGHT on 21st to Hillyer.

Fuse Pilates after SMR

Following our runs Fuse offers several different Pilates classes (at cost). This week there is a 9:30am Chair Class, a 10am Reformer Level I, and/or two 10:45am classes, Mat Class and Fuse Blast!!! So many choices!!!!

Fuse offers several first-timers class specials and 10% off all other classes and packages for DC Road Runners. So make sure and tell them you're from the running club! It's a great way to get a full well-rounded Saturday morning workout (run then Pilates!).
