SLR April 7 - Water Route

Hello Saturday Runners!

With the cherry blossoms in peak bloom this weekend, this Saturday's route will take us around Hains Point and the Tidal Basin for 12 miles of scenic views along Water Route (downloads: cue sheet and GPS). You can easily shorten this to 9.5 miles while still hitting all of the sightseeing highlights by taking a left at Buckeye Drive to cut across East Potomac Park instead of going all the way down to the bottom of Hains Point. We're not usually talking about cherry blossoms and snow at the same time, but keep an eye on the weather since some snow is forecast for Saturday. Unless road conditions are unsafe on Saturday morning the run will go on as planned, and if any change or cancellation is made it will be announced on the SLR web page and this email list, as well as posted on the club's Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Thank you Ted Logothetti for post-run drinks this week! We will need more volunteers after next week beyond, so please get in touch with me now if you can help. The weekly schedule of volunteers, routes, and distances is always kept up-to-date on the SLR web page, and you can email me any time to book your slot. For more info on how volunteering works, please first see the SLR FAQ, and after that send me an email if you'd like any additional details.

Happy running,

Mike
