SLR May 27 - Cathedral / Clintons

Hello Saturday Runners!

This week's run will be 13 miles on the Cathedral / Clintons route (additional map here). For a shorter run, I'd recommend out & back on the Rock Creek Park trail, or for a longer run you can add extra miles up and down the National Mall before heading back over Memorial Bridge. It looks like this Saturday might be a rainy day, but let's hope any storms stay in the afternoon as they're currently forecasted.

Don't forget that our meeting time will be shifting an hour earlier to 7:00 am for the summer, starting next week on June 3!

Thank you Christie Wetzel and Rodrigo Vellón for post-run drinks over the last few weeks! Please remember that starting next week at the beginning of June we'll be looking for volunteers to cover mid-run drinks as well as post-run drinks, to help get us through the hot summer months. Volunteer needs along with the weekly route & distance schedule are always kept up-to-date on the SLR web page, and you can email me any time to schedule your slot. Post-run volunteers are typically scheduled for at least 2 consecutive weeks to cut down on handoffs of the bins, while mid-run drinks can be booked on a week by week basis. SLR drinks are entirely volunteer supported, so if you regularly enjoy this perk, do your part to keep it going! Volunteering is easy, doesn't take a lot of time, and all restocking expenses will be reimbursed by the club.

Happy running!
