SLR January 17 - Marymount Chain Bridge

Hello Saturday Runners!

This Saturday morning we will be running the Marymount Chain Bridge route, with a hilly first half followed by a nice & flat second half.  The standard route is 14 miles, but there are plenty of options to either shorten or lengthen this one.  For 12 miles, come back to Iwo Jima via the Key Bridge instead of Memorial Bridge.  To get 10 miles, continue straight on Military Rd. (skipping the Taylor Park trail) to Randolph St. and Chain Bridge, while also returning via Key Bridge.  For anything longer than 14, I'd suggest adding an out-and-back section on any of the C&O Towpath, the Rock Creek Trail, or the Mall.

Thanks to Andrew Simpson for post-run drinks this weekend!  We're covered for post-run drinks through the end of February, but could use volunteers for March and beyond; please visit the SLR page to see current needs and email SLR@dcroadrunners.org if you can help.  This is an easy way to support your fellow SLR-ers, and the club will reimburse all expenses.

Happy running,

Mike
